NMOG combined with NOx (nitrogen oxides) in the presence of sunlight are the main precursors of ozone in the troposphere and are regulated in Brazil from the <\/i><i>Proconve<\/i><i> L7 phase since 2022. Hydrocarbons speciation, in the range of C2 to C12, were performed in a gas chromatograph coupled to a mass spectrometer detector using inert metallic spheres for sampling and a standard gas recommended by CARB for calibration. <\/i><i>Proconve<\/i><i> L7 flex-fuel vehicles with port-fuel (PFI) and direct fuel injections (GDI) were evaluated with the canisters saturated with butane, following the NBR-6601 standard urban driving cycle.
